Privacy Policy
Math Rush is a mental-arithmetic game. This policy explains what the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: the game is fully playable offline without an account, and everything that leaves your device is optional and switched off until you turn it on.
Information we collect
Nothing, by default
You can install Math Rush and play every mode — including the Daily Challenge, Endless Rush and practice — without creating an account or sending us anything. Your scores, stars, achievements and streak are stored only on your device.
If you sign in (optional)
- Account details — your email address, and if you sign in with Google, the display name and profile picture on that Google account. This exists so your progress can follow you to a new phone. If you sign up with an email address and password, the password is handled entirely by Firebase Authentication — it is never sent to us and we cannot see it.
- Your saved progress — scores, stars, achievements, streak and the arithmetic facts you have practised, stored under your account so it can be restored.
If you join the leaderboards (optional)
- Score and nickname — your round scores and a nickname the app generates for you (for example "SwiftFox42") are uploaded so you can appear in the weekly league and all-time tables. You are never asked to type a name, and no other profile information appears on a leaderboard.
If you use a backup code (optional)
- Your saved progress — the same game data as above, stored under a random code you keep. No account and no personal information are involved.
Collected automatically
- Advertising data — the game shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address and coarse device information to serve and measure ads. In the EEA and the UK you are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change that choice at any time from Settings → Ad privacy options.
- Anonymous usage analytics and crash reports — which screens are opened and how rounds end, plus technical details (device model, OS version) if the app crashes. These are tied to a random identifier, not to your name or email.
How we use your information
- To save your progress and restore it on a new device.
- To place you on the weekly and all-time leaderboards, if you join them.
- To remind you about the Daily Challenge, if you turn reminders on.
- To show ads, which is how the game is funded.
- To understand which features are used and to fix crashes.
Where your data is stored
Data is stored in Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore) and transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Leaderboard tables are readable by other players; your saved progress is private to your account and is not readable by anyone else.
Google's servers may be located outside your country, so your data may be processed abroad. Google's infrastructure is covered by standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards for international transfers.
How long we keep it
- Your account and saved progress — kept until you delete your account, after which it is removed permanently.
- Weekly league tables — each week's table is historical and carries only a generated nickname, never your name or email.
- Backup codes — kept until overwritten or you ask us to delete them.
- Analytics and crash reports — retained by Google for up to 14 months, then deleted automatically.
Sharing
We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Service providers that process data on our behalf:
- Google Firebase — sign-in, database and crash reporting.
- Google AdMob — advertising (how Google uses ad data).
- Google Analytics for Firebase — anonymous usage statistics.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account inside the app. That permanently removes your account and the progress saved with it. Progress stored on your device stays on your device, and can be removed by uninstalling the app. See detailed deletion instructions.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — including under the UK/EU GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act — you may have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted (see above — you can do this yourself in the app);
- object to, or restrict, how your data is used;
- withdraw consent for personalised advertising at any time, from Settings → Ad privacy options.
To exercise any of these, email spintechstudio@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Math Rush is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update this page and the effective date above.
